School

Since its inception, the Heritage Green Community Trust has given funding to all the schools that reside within a 3 km radius of the Stoney Creek Regional Facility.

Some of the projects funded by the trust are Janet Lee's Community Building Project, Bishop Ryan's Celt-X Robotics Team and St. Jame's the Apostle’s new scoreboard, gym equipment, bike rack, LCD projector and whiteboards.

By funding these projects and more the students at our local schools have benefitted tremendously.

Legacy

The Heritage Green Community Trust has three legacy projects they are very proud to have been involved with. In June 2002 the Trust held a ground breaking ceremony for the new Heritage Green Sports park.

The lands were purchased by the Trust from the former Philip Services Corporation and donated to the City of Hamilton for the use of the new sports park. In October 2006, the Heritage Green Community Trust donated $1.5 million to the Hamilton Conservation Foundation for the development of the Eramosa Karst Conservation Area.

In late 2012 the Trust donated $200,000.00 for the Smith’s Knoll Project in partnership with the City of Hamilton and the Federal Government.

Today all parks are being used by many people who come from all over Southern Ontario.
